Three five-storey residential buildings with a total of 45 apartments and a shared underground parking garage were built at Eilbekpark in Hamburg-Barmbek-Sued.

The ground-floor apartments are raised by half a storey, which not only provides more privacy, but also allows for spacious entrance areas. A continuous clinker brick plinth frames the first floor. The façade, in black and white, has a horizontal structure. The entrance areas are accentuated by red-colored vestibules.

The façade gains additional dynamism through recessed loggias and balconies as well as an interplay of open and closed surfaces, particularly at the edges of the building. This rhythm gives the buildings a sculptural and lively appearance.

The project was developed in line with the requirements of social housing construction and meets the requirements of the passive house standard. The entire complex is also barrier-free.
